Iβve gone twice this summer. The service is great. The employee answered all my questions and service was fast. I had the waffle bowl both times and it was sooo good!

Iβve lived in this neighborhood since 1990, and unfortunately this Carvel location has reached a point where people around here donβt even want to go anymoreβand now I understand why. I went in to buy two quarts of fresh strawberry ice cream. I was told the pre-packed quart from the freezer costs $12, but if they scoop it fresh into a container, it suddenly becomes $19 per quart. Thatβs an extra $7 just for scooping ice cream into a cupβwhich is literally the job of an ice cream shop employee. When I asked what the difference was, the employee insisted the pre-packed one was βfresh,β even though last summer someone in my household got sick after buying one that had clearly been sitting there a long time. I explained I wanted it packed fresh in front of me, and he still wouldnβt budge. He just kept repeating that itβs βstore policy,β and even said scooping fresh quarts is βa lot of work.β Charging an extra $7 per quart for scooping ice creamβsomething theyβre already being paid hourly to doβmakes absolutely no sense. I was planning to buy two quarts, but Iβm not paying an extra $14 just for someone to do their job. So I walked out. Keep the ice cream and keep the extra fee. I wo

Get yourself a scoop of Cookies & Cream, you won't regret it. Perfect place for the kids to try! EDIT: I keep coming here almost every day for weeks now because I can't stop eating their homemade Cookies & Cream, it's the best I've ever had

A few things: - The store layout feels confusing. I wasnβt sure where the menu was and wasnβt clear where the ice cream was. - Itβs overpriced. One simple waffle cone with two scoops was $6 - compared to other local ice cream shops, this doesnβt bode well. - The ice cream is touted as homemade and while it is tasty-ish, thereβs nothing special that justifies the homemade status or the price. The good news is that there didnβt seem to be a card minimum. However, only MasterCard and Visa are accepted (sorry friends who were trying to score points with AMEX or Discover). Decent but not a must try.
